It was only a matter of time before the firearm companies and gun-nuts caught sight of Google Glass, and as scary as that thought is, it’s pretty damn cool what they’ve come up with.
Tracking Point, a weapons manufacturer, have put together a concept video of what they plan to achieve with Google Glass.
Shotview, the company’s app for iOS and Android, has the ability to send live images from TrackingPoint’s networked tracking scope to Wi-Fi-enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets and a range of wearable devices. However, the demo shown in the video just a look at what could be in the near future.
Basically, you could shoot around corners without every popping your meaty head out.
There are already guns that can fire around corners, but adding something like Shotview into the arsenal of police and armies would make the ability a lot easier to implement. Not that anyone needs more reasons to shoot things, though.
We’re that much closer to seeing Robo-cop, people!
