John Cleese‘s dodgy knee has cut out any possibility of the famous comedian doing the fan-favourite Ministry of Silly Walks skit during the Monty Python Live show in London. Instead, Cleese has a robotic assistant that will handle the high-kicks during the performance.
Ok, that’s not true, but it would be awesome.
Unfortunately, the comedy group will actually be cutting the skit out of the show altogether, which will feature a mix of modern references and classic sketches; and fellow Python, Michael Palin assured that it won’t just be a bunch of old-timers cracking familiar jokes on stage.
We can still sing, so there will be the songs. John won’t be doing the silly walks because he’s had his knee operations, and those leg kicks were pretty acrobatic.
