One of the most interesting new features of Apple’s new iOS8 is HealthKit, which is set to whip you in shape, one app at a time.
HealthKit is basically a hub for all your fitness, health and diet apps, and providing you with data on your progress with all of these. It’s like a nutritionist, gym trainer and doctor all in one, minus the motivational screaming and massive bills
The Health app itself gives you a breakdown of your activity levels, blood pressure, calorie burn, and sleep activity, along with other super-important metrics for your well-being.
Nike is also a partner of HealthKit, and their apps, like Nike+ Running and Nike FuelCoach, will be incorporated into HealthKit. This also extends to your health devices and gadgets, which can be “plugged in” to HealthKit so that all your body activities are monitored in one place. How this will happen wasn’t revealed, but time will tell.
