The manifesto Elliot Roger wrote prior to killing six people and wounding 13 featured some misogynistic ideals, and a new Tumblr blog has been launched to provide a platform for women to voice and expose their stories of unwanted sexual advances.
“When Women Refuse” highlights stories that many women may have previously been too afraid to tell, while also posting previous news articles relating to violence against women.
the Internet responded with the hashtag #YesAllWomen, to start a conversation around the fact that while not all men commit acts of violence, all women are afraid, and rightfully so, of gender-based violence.

Rodger’s 147-page manifesto revealed his belief that he was entitled to affection from women, and this sparked the conversation regarding gender-based violence.
“I desired girls, but girls never desired me back. There is something very wrong with that. It is an injustice that cannot go unpunished,” he wrote Rodger.
