With winter approaching and most Capetownians settling in for the seasonal hibernation, this might not be the best time to think about going topless. BUT on those beautiful warm berg wind days we are blessed with here in the Cape, why not get out there and strip down to show off our local talent and beauty!
The Topless Tour is asking travelers to share photos of their bare upper bods in beautiful locales — “Join us and feel the freedom, share your beauty to the world” — and the response has been enthusiastic with over 13K Instagram followers and more than 8K likes on Facebook.
But before you make any “Travelers Gone Wild” jokes, the shared images, set against a variety of scenic backdrops across the globe, keep things PG by sticking with shots from behind. The premise for the project, started by three women in their early 20s, Olivia Edgington, Ludia Buckler and Ingvild Marstein Olsen, is about freedom rather than exhibitionism.
We think this is an awesome way of showcasing beauty and freedom. Fair enough, definitely more of a summer vibe, but get a few practice shots in so that by the time the rain stops you are a pro and you have mapped out the most scenic spots to bare your bosom.
