Rory, c’mon man. Breaking up with your high-school girlfriend of two weeks over the phone is bad; doing it to your fiancé is plain criminal.
25-year-old golfer Rory Mcllroy was said to have given his tennis star wife-to-be Caroline Wozniacki the “it’s not you, it’s me” speech during a three-minute phone call. There are breakup songs longer than that!
Caroline Wozniacki played tennis in a lovely old arena at Roland Garrosyesterday but would rather have been in Belfast, asking Rory McIlroy to his face why he left her this way. Except that the last time he called, less than a day after telling her how much he loved her, it was a three-minute conversation she thought was a joke.
To McIlroy’s potential future brides, expect a tweet or a Facebook invite to play “Singlesville” when he decides to call it quits.
