Mr Bean often gets himself into some pretty sticky situations, but now he’s helping others get out of theirs.

Rowan Atkinson, best-known for playing the lovable, bumbling Bean, saved a McLaren F1 driver’s life following a horror crash in Tuscany.

Atkinson, driving his own McLaren F1, was part of a convoy of car-nuts, taking their exotic vehicles for a drive in the Tuscan countryside when one of the drivers careened into the tree… or did the tree careen into him? No one really knows.

The driver, an American businessman, was alright, as Atkinson helped the driver from the wreckage and collected pieces of his destroyed car.

This is not the first time Atkinson has been in this situation, as he found himself getting a little too close to a tree in his own McLaren back in 2011.
