Whenever stories like this emerge like maggots from the woodwork, we can’t help but to re-think just how well we know our neighbours.
It has come out that a businessman from Springs in Gauteng has been successfully hiding his abuse and his children for as long as sixteen years! The children, ranging from 2 to 16, were not allowed to leave the house and have never been given any schooling. Some of the tenants on his property were not even aware he had any children as he concealed the 5 of them so well. Some neighbours report hearing crying and screaming periodically but not one seems to have suspected the full extent of the horror.
Police became involved when the 11 year old son escaped and ran to neighbours last week to ask for help. While the child was returned home, concerned neighbours did alert police. Although the boy was hidden when they first arrived at the house, they discovered when they found him that his head had been https://safemdonline.com/proscar.html held underwater and had been beaten as punishment for escaping.
The house was filthy and was filled with chains, blowtorches, ropes and pornographic DVDs, Beeld said.
There was expensive furniture, but all the children had to sleep in one bed, the paper added.
Numerous and absolutely horrific charges of rape (of both the eldest daughter, 16, and the wife) have been brought against the man, who is remaining unnamed to protect the children, with an array of other serious charges to be brought against this monstrous human being.
The children are currently being taken care of in a safe place, Times Live reports, and are separate from their mother who faces investigation as well. For more on this chilling story, read here.
Getting to know your neighbours isn’t just for your safety folks – this 16 year ordeal may have been cut much shorter. But let’s be clear, it is not the neighbours who are at fault here. This man is clearly disgusting and highly skilled at deception.
