Remember what it was like when you moved out of home? Go ahead – reminisce: when your mommy helped you pack your clothes and bid you farewell from the house you called home your entire childhood.
Or maybe it wasn’t that glorified.
Either way, you’re remembering that milestone in your life right now, aren’t you?
At the ripe age of 23, I’ve only just been through all of this. I’m on the independence train, free to be reckless, free to be lazy, free to start paying all the bills my parents once paid for me. Oh the complete joy.
And along with this “independence” I had so longed for during high school, I now have to buy the FUN things I want, with my own money. Luxuries like Xbox’s and insurance are just that: luxuries.
Why would I spend my hard earned moolah on something so expensive, which could possibly get stolen within a month, or broken by my reckless/drunk friends?
Well, because I want it (Duh)!
Also: because I found this super awesome deal on Gumtree for an Xbox 360: 250gb, 1 remote and 2 games (1 of them being a limited edition 2014 FIFA), for R2400 AND Surething allows me to insure individual items. That means young’ns like us can indulge in our ‘luxury’ play toys and not worry about wild parties at our new pad or having to insure an entire household full of the landlord’s cheap furniture – all eating into our hard-earned, newly acquired salaries!
