Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev and his (now ex) wife have concluded their six year divorce battle over his fortune.

The 50/50 split means that Ms. Rybolovlev could be getting a mere R46 780 785 849 and 92 cents exactly – at the current exchange rate anyway. It is reported that the battle has waged on for so very long over two pieces of property – one Greek island (no biggie, why would they be fighting over this?) and one Florida Beach estate (there are hundreds of these, buy a new one if you both want one). The Guardian says that Mr Rybolovlev may still appeal this ruling so nothing is final until the cheque is cashed.

With all the property they own they could house a small country with room to spare for themselves.

Of course they may have to renovate one or two of the seven walk-in closets in their daughters New York apartment to fit everyone in without crowding their island paradise.

Such are the sacrifices of life.
