There’s nothing like celebrating a hard-earned win: seeing the F1 drivers hose their teams down in champagne; watching runners collapse with pure, overwhelming joy that their incredible hard work has paid off; and then there this guy:
Spanish cyclist Eloy Teruel learned […] the hard way as he led the field to the finish line with one lap to go in the seventh stage of the Tour of California on Saturday. The only issue was that Teruel thought he was on the final lap and that he had just won. Teruel let up on his pace and raised his arms above his head triumphantly.[Fox Sports]
OMF – that is so awkward, he must be crying hideously on the inside.
They say everyone gets 15 minutes of fame in their lifetime, right? Well if this is his,then ,um, it just sucks for him…….
