Camps Bay. It’s that place where we spend way to much time during Summer, endlessly searching for a parking bay and eventually attempting some semblance of a conversation, with someone whose English is spoken with a German accent, at a bar which charges 200 bucks for a daiquiri. Right? Come Winter time, it’s not exactly the location for which to prioritise your sacred Friday night of social interaction. Wait, hold the phone! There is that ONE god-send of a place, a local institution by the name of Caprice. You can rely on them to deliver. Every time. No matter what the season.
This Winter, Caprice and DVM Events have rescued us from the painstaking task of having to plan which tired, hipster hang-out, we’ll waste our hard-earned cash on during our monthly Friday night, pink-slip of freedom.
Indeed, they have delivered to us the ONLY answer to our monthly social calendar: Bring on the The Olmeca House Sessions.
This is where you will be spending your first Friday night of every month from now, until the Germans take over Camps Bay again come Spring-time.
Here’s what to expect:
100 jugs of Tequila Sunrise and Margaritas.
Latin-inspired house beats pumping up the heat all night by a selection of Cape Town’s DJ’ing royalty.
Called the ‘Olmeca House Temple’, the familiar ambience of Caprice will be transformed into an intimate and warm. But don’t take our word for it, see for yourself.
To relive all of the steamy magic of the first series of the Olmeca House Sessions, simply click HERE and immerse yourself in the musical journey.
Tables can be booked for larger groups and (best part) there’s no cover charge. Kaching!
