Radio frequency fields emitted via mobile phones are carcinogenic. You ever heard that before? It’s something that most of you are probably vaguely aware of . At some point in your life you would have definitely heard that talking on your cell phone too much might give you brain cancer. However, like other nasty, illness-type things we may ‘contract’ by doing a lot of something which isn’t exactly great for us, we tend to shove those little alarm bells to the back of our heads and continue our hours of indulgent gossip with phone plastered to ear, like, every day. Right?
Well the latest research by French scientists seems to conclusively lean towards an answer which isn’t exactly awesome news for the phone-loving community of modern-day society.
” Individuals who used their cellphone for more than 15 hours each month over five years on average had between two and three times greater risk of developing glioma and meningioma tumours compared with people whose used their phone rarely, they found.” ( News 24)
Hmmmmm – Maybe it’s time for us to choose texting as an exclusive method of mobile phone communication?
