You guys remember the Zodiac Killer, right? He was that serial killer who rampaged around Northern California during the 60’s and 70’s and got away with his blood-lust for murder absolutely scott-free. So this is creepy: there is a guy who has irrefutable proof that the Zodiac Killer is his dad. For reals. Can you imagine?

Harper Collins is  publishing a tell-all book ( The Most Dangerous Animal Of All ) written by a certain Gary Stewart. Gary spent his childhood fatherless ( it is uncertain whether he was adopted/fostered) and at some point in his adult life decided to search for his biological dad. His search led him to the horrifying discovery that his dad was slightly more than your average absent ,dead-beat father. His dad was actually a legend. Of sorts.

We suppose there is one irrefutable benefit to discovering that your dad is one of the most notorious serial killers in history. And that’s the fact that you get to write a fairly epic book , assume the identity of child of most notorious serial killer, and then make a lot of cash off the royalties and book sales. In that order. So yeah, it sucks that Gary’s dad is , well, a total creep, but it still rocks that he will be significantly wealthier than what he was as vice president of a small construction company. Kudos!

If you’re in any doubt as to the authenticity of Mr.Stewarts claims as to the identity of his father, a lawyer for Harper Collings vetted Gary’s claims and found them ‘legally sound’. This makes sense in hind-sight. Gary is literally the spitting image of the Zodiac Killer as per the famed police sketch seen above.

A Harper Collins publicist says of the Lawyers explanation:

“She didn’t share many details of the book, but told me that Stewart’s father had a criminal record in San Francisco (“forgeries, bad checks”), and there was a strong resemblance between his father’s mug shot and the police sketch.

Apparently, the police sketch was a good one. Said Andreadis: “If you look at Gary’s photo next to the sketch of the Zodiac next to his father’s mug shot, you can see that there is very clearly more than just a passing resemblance. They look alike.”
