Fake modelling scams seem to be one of the most wide-spread ploys to attract young beautiful women into the webs of a multitude of arachnoid scum-bags. The latest of these many eyed predators is Shoja Shojai, a millionaire residing in his own villa near Marbella, Spain.
Police were called to the sprawling Arabic style home when one of the women made an allegation of domestic violence against him. There they discovered a group of women, mostly in their 20s, nine of whom have alleged that they were lured to Spain on false pretences.
They claim that they were subjected to emotional abuse and threats of physical violence to keep them there.
Reports in the Spanish press also suggested that police found drugs, including the date-rape drug rohypnol, at the property. The women and their children, aged between nine months and seven years old, have been taken to refuges, while Mr Shojai has been released on bail. [The Sydney Morning Herald]
According to the women:
Once they arrived they were put up in a ten-bed mansion on the property in the hills above Marbella called Casa Saf and took turns to sleep with him. Iranian-born Shojai, whose British passport was issued in January 2008, lived in an adjoining house called Casa Nabil. The women have told police they were allowed out of the mansion at all times – but only with on of Shojai’s drivers and on the condition that they told him where they were going and what time they were returning. He claims the women worked for his companies, consented to sex with him, and fell pregnant because they failed to take precautions. He also denied mistreating them emotionally or physically during a police interview. [Daily Mail]
Sounds like your standard sex-captor cover story to me. If you are interested in breaking into the modelling industry, think twice before accepting offers that sound too good to be true – they probably are.
