Trust voting day to stir the cauldron of controversy bringing to the surface a wide array of distasteful bits and pieces. Warren Blakeman has been lambasted on twitter for his “racist” tweet.

Warren Blakeman’s ( @BlakemanWarren)  statement, which has since been deleted, said, “Vote DA. That’s it…simple…unless u enjoy living in a country run by corrupt monkeys. It’s sad to think that we still see monkeys voting for monkeys. #vervetmonkeycall….seems to be a lot of monkeys in this status….” [EWN]

Naturally, because his online profile says he works for Reebok SA, the company must be held responsible for his statements too. Of course, this makes perfect sense, why wouldn’t Reebok SA associate themselves with someone who hasn’t worked for them in six months? Check out all the drama and the original tweet  here.
