This is beyond horrific. This is psychopathy on the most depraved of levels. Italy was home to one of the most infamous serial killers in Europe, namely the ‘ Monster of Florence’ who killed 16 people between 1968 – 1985. A modern-day copy-cat is at it again where he/she is slaughtering prostitutes in the exact same location as where the Monster of Florence was said to have sacrificed his victims.
March 2013 saw an attempted murder of a woman, Alle Bartoline, who was savagely raped and tortured and then taped to a bridge overpass ‘crucifix’ style. This prostitute survived her injuries but the tragedy is that her attacker remains on the loose. Fast forward to 2014, this past Monday morning to be exact. The most depraved scene met the eyes of a passer-by who had to face the body of Romanian immigrant Andrea Cristina Zamfir .
Andrea’s body was found in a position where it was evident that she had been forced to kneel and then stretch her arms out ‘crucifix’ style whilst she was taped to a horizontal barrier over the same bridge overpass as the previous attempted murder and the location of the Monster of Florence’s murders, and then suffer being brutally raped and sexually tortured. She must have died a slow and agonising death according to Police reports.
During the past 10 years, up to 7 more prostitutes have been found murdered in the exact same area. Here’s the creepy part: The Monster of Florence has never been found. And it looks like whoever is committing these prostitute murders in our current times is doing a thorough good job of keeping his/her identity a mystery. The most chilling thought in this whole ordeal is the chance that the Monster of Florence might still be alive and well today. And still doing what he does best.
