Footage from the cellphone of a boy who died on the South Korean ferry, in which 300 students either died or are missing, has been released by his father.
According to the Telegraph:
Mobile phone footage taken by a 17-year-old boy who died in the South Korea ferry sinking and released by his father, reveals a heartbreaking look at the final moments of some of the 325 high school students aboard the vessel that sank on 16 April.
In the video, the students are seen huddled below deck, wondering if they’ll make the news and discussing what they should do as the South Korea ferry sinks.
The fear in the cabin quickly builds as the listing becomes worse.
Some say they feel dizzy and sick.
“Am I really going to die?” a student says at 0855 local time – the same time a crew member on the bridge made the first distress call.
Students ask whether the ship will sink. Where their teachers are. “What’s the captain doing?”
