Oh dear. It’s so easy to forget just how quickly time flies when one discovers that Victoria Bekham, the former Spice Girl known as ‘Posh Spice’ recently celebrated her 40th birthday at the Arts Club in Mayfair. Victoria doesn’t seem to phased by her near ancient age however. In fact this horrifyingly-hot-considering-birthing-four-kids former pop-star decided to get rather happy-clappy with the camera on this particular night. She considerately posted photos of her birthday bash on Twitter so as all of us nostalgic Spice Girls fans may eagerly soak up her revelment and relive the magic of a birthday party we never attended and whose invitees consisted mainly of people who made the 90’s more kitsch than your local Chinese R5 store. Which we totally love about them by the way. Kitsch WAS cool, after all.
In an almost cliquey way however, Victoria only mentioned Emma Bunton and Mel C in the following tweet: ‘So much fun with Emma and Mel C at my party last night x vb.’ Geri Halliwell however was seen driving away from the venue , indicating that she was indeed in attendance. Mel B is in the US filming something or other, so an understandable lack of mention on the twittersphere is warranted. But poor old Geri? Who knows? She didn’t crack the nod for being a tweet-worthy former member of Spice Girls fame, that’s for sure.
The conclusion we made from the photos posted is that everyone in attendance was very much A) drunk B) pissed and C) inebriated. Which is awesome. You only turn 40 once. And gone are the days where we tut under our breathe at photos of celebrities exiting laarnie night-clubs in a less than flattering fashion. We’re not talking about Lindsay Lohan here. This is a very respectable 40th birthday party and everyone here was quite entitled to their night of drunken debauchery. Quite so.
Anyhoo, here for you right now is a lovely image gallery which pictorially covers the night in quite a satisfactory manner if we do say so ourselves:
