Wow. So a few things come to mind here: Ritual Satanic sacrifice or a bad acid trip being on the top of the list. Last Wednesday morning a pretty grizzly discovery was made in a vacant parking lot in Yonkers, New York. At least 25 dead cats which had been placed in plastic shopping bags were hung in an almost ‘decorative’ arrangement throughout a tree in the lot. According to Ernie Lungaro director of humane law enforcement at SPCA, some of the cats bodies were severely decomposed whilst others were still relatively fresh.
A few employees from the Department Of Public Works stumbled across this insane scene when arriving for work last Wednesday morning on this lot in Yonkers. As one can well-imagine, the stench emanating from the Chrismas-tree-from-Hell was beyond horrific. This has caused some confusion as the lot is in fact rather well-used in terms of daily foot-traffic. Residences do lie on its perimeter, meaning that people do use the lot, albeit not for actually parking cars. How exactly did absolutely NO ONE smell this decrepit mess of a kitty grave-yard wafting from the branches of this misused old tree? It seems that the olfactory senses of these Yonkers residents might be chronically encumbered by some or other yet unidentified and mysterious force.
Shannon Laukhuf is the Executive Director of the SPCA in Yonkers. She says that last year 22 cats were found poisoned in the same area. Now what she does not mention is if these 2 incidents are even related. So we could be looking at some sort of, er, ‘Copy-Cat’ kitty murderer. Okay, but in all seriousness, this is one messed-up situation. Even more so now that the SPCA of Westchester has performed subsequent necropsies on three of the feline victims. The resulting discovery is that the cats were killed by some sort of blunt-force trauma to the head. We can’t actually make up our minds what this is all about. Cat-killing cults are supposed to be very last-season the last time we checked.
