In a bid to remind us that she still exists, Avril Lavigne tried her hand at J-Pop, and failed. Her video faced such an onslaught of criticism for sliding continuously between vapidity and offensiveness that her team pulled it from YouTube. Then put it back up. Then pulled it again. Now it’s back up.
Here’s a sample of the lyrics: “Let’s all slumber party/Like a fat kid on a pack of Smarties.” Cuts to the core, doesn’t it?
