HERE IS THE PLAYER’S AFFIDAVIT

Earlier today we reported that a UCT rugby player was accused of punching a woman in the face during a brawl. We have the ALLEGED video of the assault. You can read all about that, here.

Look out for the line up and brutal punch to the face in the bottom right hand corner at the 45 second mark.

Multiple members of the local rugby community took to social media to express their support for the accused. Remarks included such gems as:

I dunno. According to the footage, it looks like the only hits in this case were endured by the soft facial tissue of a woman.

Was there pepper spray?

Did he line her up?

These are the questions we cannot answer.
