North Korea have the tendency towards the theatrical. At the end of last year North Korean leader Kim Jong Un executed his uncle, Jang Song Thaek. Reports from South Korea say that 11 high-ranking officials connected to his uncle have since been either imprisoned or executed. One of whom was allegedly executed using a flamethrower.
In the report a source claims that O Sang Hon, the deputy public security minister, was executed by flamethrower for involvement with Jang. A source also claims that the North Korean regime is planning a third purge of Jang supporters.
The first purge “involved [Jang’s] family, relatives and high-ranking party officials.” The second purge is currently going on.
