This Device Will Charge Your Smart Phone In 30 Seconds [VIDEO]

Many scientists and experts have been fussing about trying to make a smart phone’s battery life longer. But StoreDot are approaching the battery problem from a different angle. Watch a smartphone battery charged from flat to full in 30 seconds.

StoreDot is an off shoot from Tel Aviv University’s nanotechnology department. They displayed their prototype battery and charger at Microsoft’s Think Next conference. Using stuff called nano-dots, organic compounds and quantum mechanics, they demonstrated the prototype by charging a Samsung Galaxy 4 in 30 seconds.

Don’t throw out your phone’s battery yet, the bulky prototype still has some kinks and is still a long way away from being available.
