Google Now can either be seen as your personal assistant, or proof that Google knows way too much about you. It gives you the ability to manage, search for and organize your information easily within your phone and other Google accounts.
It acts like an assistant, providing you with ‘cards’ that are sometimes time and location dependent. Using your search history, it will compile relevant information and notify you in the form of ‘cards’ on certain topics. For example, if you frequently search for score updates for your favourite sports team, the ‘sports card’ automatically displays the scores, saving you the time of searching for it.
Traffic, weather, sports, reservations, public transit and appointments are all organised conveniently for you by the app in the form of cards, using your location, e-mails and search history. By allowing the great overlord that is Google, to know a bit more about you, Google Now offers a better and more convenient user experience.
