CCTV footage captured the horrific moment when a Chinese schoolboy jumped out of his classroom window, to his death.

While the rest of his classmates were preparing material for the lesson at hand, the boy in question remains motionless. He quickly heads for the nearest window and leaps to his death. Suicide is the leading cause of death among young people in China, which has been blamed on the intense pressure they are under to achieve academically.

It is believed the boy committed suicide due to the pressure of preparing for college entrance exams.
