Even if you don’t know a stitch about football, the name Messi should ring a bell. During Barcelona’s 7-0 thrashing of Osasuna, Lionel Messi broke an 87-year-old Barcelona record. Messi being Messi, did it in style with a hat trick.
Messi’s hat trick sets him atop the all-time Barcelona scoring chart with 371 goals. During this game he surpassed Barcelona legend Paulino Alcántara’s tally of 369 that stood untouched for 87 years.
