Sticks and stones versus armed forces with sniper rifles and riot gear. These homemade weapons tell the story of how ordinary Ukrainian citizens relied on Mad Max technology to defend themselves from their own government.
While the protests were going on, photographer Tom Jamieson shied away from the front lines to catalogue the homemade weapons of the civilian protesters. At the peak of the violent protests, Jamieson and his assistant ran around the occupied zone with a large blackout curtain, capturing the stories of the men and women wielding these medieval makeshift weapons.
