“Stay away from it” and “it is a mirage” are a few of his soundbytes on the virtual currency. Buffet sees it as a way of transferring money, an effective way, but as a commodity it carries no more value than a check.
A check is a way of transmitting money too. Are checks worth a lot of money just because they can transmit money?
The idea it has some huge intrinsic value is such a joke.
