Terry Richardson is infamous for his behaviour around the models he shoots. Models are too afraid of speaking out against the controversial photographer, as they know that doing so would likely end their careers. Finally, model Charlotte Waters spoke up about her encounter with the famed man, and her account is horrific.
Just to fill you in, Richardson is one of the most famous fashion photographers in the world and has shot nearly every big name model. According to Wikipedia, Richardson has shot campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Aldo, Supreme, Tom Ford, and Yves Saint Laurent among others. He has done work for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, and Vice. Back to Charlotte Waters and the point of this article.
The guy is a monster. Waters, 19 at the time, jumped at the opportunity to get photographed by Richardson. Waters had experience in nude modeling, having done shoots with Richard Kern, and was a nude model for painter Ron English, but Richardson’s shoot scarred her for life.
In front of his assistant, Richardson’s actions towards Waters, slowly escalated from nude photos to sexual assault. He coaxed the 19-year-old to take of her clothes and unbutton his pants while he was taken photos of her. Penis exposed, he told her to pose on a couch. He then started licking her butt.
He told me to perform oral sex on him. He started aggressively kissing me. I don’t even really remember what specific things were happening at that point, but he was directing everything. Like, “OK squeeze my balls,” “OK, put my dick in your mouth,” “OK, now kiss me.” It wasn’t intimate. He also straddled me and started jerking off on my face,” recounts Waters.
What happened next is revolting. He told her to open her eyes, and then commenced ejaculating into her eyes.

Terry Richardson has responded:
But Page Six has exclusively obtained a letter from Richardson defending himself, calling the accusations “false,” “hate-filled and libelous tales.”
Richardson writes that years ago, “I chose to primarily ignore a cycle of Internet gossip and false accusations against me . . . I felt that to dignify them with a response was a betrayal of my work and my character.” He adds of the claims, which popped up again last week: “When these allegations resurfaced over the past few months, they seemed especially vicious and distorted . . . becoming nothing more than an emotionally-charged witch hunt.”
He says, “People have become comfortable concocting hate-filled and libelous tales . . . In writing this, I make a humble attempt at correcting these rumors,” adding that without his voice, “All that remain are the lies.”
But he asserts, “I collaborated with consenting adult women who were fully aware of the nature of the work, and as is typical with any project, everyone signed releases . . . I have never used an offer of work or a threat of rebuke to coerce someone into something that they did not want to do. I give everyone that I work with enough respect to view them as having ownership of their free will and making their decisions accordingly.”
