Catwalks and fashion shoots have long been plagued with long legged, flat chested, 1.8m doppelgangers. London-based modeling agency, Anti-Agency is a new breed of modeling.
Much like Benetton did decades ago, fashion retailers and brands, like Urban Outfitters, Lanvin and J. Crew, have recently opted to cast people found on the street in their campaigns. But Anti-Agency is going a step further, signing and representing “real people” as models.
The agency has no size and height requirements for their models, and also don’t use portfolios. They believe a model should be booked on his or her personality, not the way they look. Their models consist of people with a variety of different looks as well as professions. They range from shaven head and pierced poets to illustrators and lead vocalists.
Keeping it real. Nice.
