CCTV footage shows a police officer repeatedly punching a woman suspected of shoplifting. The policeman claimed it was a momentary loss of control, when the woman bit him and told him she had AIDS. Lovely stuff!

The shocking video shows the 30-year-old woman, detained by security staff on suspicion of shoplifting, being assaulted by the police officer.

Policeman James Kiddie, who attacked Sarah Reed, was convicted of assault last month for the incident that occurred in November 2012. Although convicted of assault, he avoided jail time, being sentenced to a 12 month community service order, requiring him to do 150 hours of unpaid work.
