The first African Blogger Awards have been launched, offering bloggers, tweeters, instagrammers and YouTubers the opportunity to be recognized for their influence on the African continent.
Entrants must have more than 1,000 legitimate followers to be eligible to enter. Entries for the award close on 9 March, and the winners will be announced on 16 April. The awards have been divided into 36 categories, spanning from fashion to politics, which will measure the reach the bloggers have in each of these categories.
The winners will be judged impartially and determined by use of web analytics.
