Russian hearts were shattered after figure skating prodigy Yulia Lipnitskaya, fell during her short program routine on Wednesday. The 15-year-old Russian was the breakout star of the Sochi Olympics last week when she dazzled the world with her incredible talent.
Lipnitskaya was attempting a triple flip when gravity got the better of her. A true professional, Lipnitskaya shrugged it off and continued her routine, ending with a score of 65.23 for the round. This puts her in fifth place, heading into the free skate event.
