A tweet posted on Sunday of a picture of a four-year-old Syrian refugee, crossing the desert alone after being temporarily separated from his family, went viral. It quickly had us thinking we might be looking at the future Bear Grylls.
Below are the tweets that went viral.

The little boy known as Marwan, was reunited with his family. According to other sources the child’s family was only 20 steps ahead of him across the Jordan border. There goes the image we had of a four-year-old doing what has to be done to survive in the desert, maybe having to sleep inside a dead camel a la Bear Grylls.
@HalaGorani She said family was “20 steps ahead”. Clearly distressing but Kid didn’t arrive alone as such. (Not unaccompanied minor)
