Mass flooding all over Southeast England has some parts of the UK looking more like Venice. It is the wettest January the country has seen since 1766. The Thames River is a major concern as more than 1100 homes have flooded along its banks in London during the past weeks.

The Thames has risen to levels not seen for 60 years. The onslaught of rain since December has engulfed an estimated 5,800 properties in the UK. It is expected that the bad weather will become even worse before it subsides.

The photos below show some of the storm’s scale.
