Often people ask what you would do after winning the Lotto. But here’s a new one – what would you do after you blew your winnings? Former multi-millionaire Dayalin Maslamoney has the answer… Rob someone for R250.

After winning R10,498,000 in 2009, the “man-with-money-in-his-name”, was riding high, spending his windfall on a house, cars, parties, booze and drugs for his friends. A couple of years later he’s down on his luck, unemployed and broke. Maslamoney was arrested after he and an accomplice allegedly impersonated policemen and committed house robbery.

The cherry on top – Dayalin Maslamoney was a police officer himself before quitting his job after winning the Lotto.
