To the guy in the black Chrysler Crossfire who came up behind me like a madman, while I was stuck behind a taxi in the right lane. To the guy that I moved over for, so he could get in front of me and gain five meters so he could sniff the backside of that very same taxi. To the guy who then bolted across three lanes on the way to Cape Town International Airport, risking his and many others’ lives, to get a hundred meters or so, ahead of the rest.
I just want to let you know that the moment I came up next to you again at the airport parking ticket boom, where I watched you stop and fumble at the machine, ultimately allowing my boom open a fraction of a second before yours and power ahead of you, was one of the sweetest moments I have ever experienced. And it was all the more sweeter, with you being in such a silly car.
Thank you for that entertainment.
All the best.
