It’s been nearly 20 years to the day since the ANC released their 1994 national election list.
Though some of the members on the list are now deceased, the ones that survive give us an indication of how Zuma is perceived by the ANC big fish.
At the top of the original list sat Nelson Mandela, with his preferred successor, Cyril Ramaphosa, in second. Thabo Mbeki and Joe Slovo rounded out the top four.
Six of those in the top 20 – Mandela, Joe Slovo, Albertina Sisulu, Steve Tshwete, Dullah Omar and Chris Dlamini – have died.
Of the remaining 14 individuals, only four are currently backing Zuma – check this out.
