Genie Bouchard, the up and coming 19-year-old tennis superstar, made easy work of former French Open winner Ana Ivanovic on Tuesday.
In so doing she became the first Canadian to reach a Grand Slam semifinal in 30 years.
Her stellar performance earned her an interview in front of fans at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, where she was asked who her ‘dream date’ might be.
Her answer – Justin Bieber – created some hullaballoo in the crowd, as people clearly thought she was joking. The joke was on them though, as Justin Bieber tweeted Bouchard that same day.
