Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway was NOT ACTING when she was screaming for help in the ocean on Wednensday. Anne was clearly in distress, gulping water, waving her arms and shouting for help after getting stuck in a rip current. The 31-year-old actress got caught in the strong waves while swimming off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii on Wednesday where she was on holiday with her husband, Adam Shulman.

A surfer spotted the distressed actress, and helped her escape from the dangerous waves. Unfortunately, she injured herself by scraping her foot on a reef before emerging from the water.

Her husband Adam was on hand to tenderly nurse her wounds on shore. He was evidently unphased by the blood, dirt and sand as he sucked her left toe “to clean the cut.” He then placed a plaster on the boo boo.

The day had a happy ending, and everyone left the beach with wide smiles.
