The guy who made super-size me was a fairly large Caucasian male named Morgan Spurlock. So it stands to reason that the person to perform a similar test on Starbucks would be a small female named Beautiful Existence.
No really, that’s her legal name.
Ms Existence, who lives in Seattle, decided to eat every single meal of 2013 at Starbucks because she wanted to “explore” the Starbucks brand and blog about her experience.
She wrote on her blog:
WHY? am I doing this challenge? Or WHY? will I do any challenge in the future? Because I LOVE being human and I LOVE the privilege of being able to ask the question WHY? in the first place!
So, unlike Spurlock who had a clearly defined goal and rationale, Existence did this because, well, why not.
The 40-year-old mother of two spent R5,000 to R6,000 a month on her in-store meals. Her first non-Starbucks meal was fish and chips from a Seattle-based restaurant.
My taste buds have been freaking out for the last 24 hours. Starbucks doesn’t really have anything that’s fried, and you can only eat so much after you haven’t had stuff like that for a year.
