It’s time to get stoked! For those of you who believe the thrills provided by the standard MINI Cooper S are not enough – the Mini John Cooper Works is back to hot things up. And we have to say, it’s looking pretty good.
It’s called the John Cooper Works Concept, as in it’s a concept in the way that one might theoretically drink beer and have a braai over the summer. The paint job is delicious, it’s called Bright Highways Grey, with the familiar red accents, 18-inch wheels, a new spoiler and a custom aero package.
Sadly, there’s no word on power yet, but it’ll probably be a power version of the Cooper S’s new all-BMW 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbo engine with well over 200 horses of power. The outgoing JWC offered just over 208 horsepower and that was a hell of a ride, and since the 2015 Cooper is quite a bit larger than its predecessor, it’s going to need that extra kick.
Stay tuned for the latest developments on this baby.
Now, get a tissue for the drool as you gaze at this bad boy.
