Danish film director Lars Von Trier has a hard time compromising his vision, so it comes as no surprise that Von Trier’s most recent endeavour ‘Nymphomaniac’ is five hours long. The movie follows a sex addict named Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg) throughout eight chapters, vividly detailing her sexual journey using porn stars as body doubles for scenes of unstimulated sex. Selected press got their hands on an abridged and censored four hour version, and although it’s too early to say, it seems to be faring well, with The Telegraph’s Tim Robey giving it four out of five stars.
The movie has been referred to by some as tame (ha), but remember that this is all relative to Von Trier’s previous movies, such as Antichrist, which features genital mutilation and other fun,imaginative uses of gore. Some stars include cool people like Uma Thurman, Stellan Skarsgård and Shia LaBeouf (who auditioned with a homemade sex tape).

The film is sexually explicit but, believe me, it will be a very, very bad wanking movie.
