Elytte Barbour, 22, and Miranda Barbour, 18, wanted to seal their bond of love by murdering a person together.
The Pennsylvania couple apparently used Craig’s List to lure a man into a gruesome meeting, where they ambushed him and stabbed him to death.
They later returned to the grizzly scene, and watched as cops combed the area for evidence. A friend of the couple has come forward and told authorities that the now-notorious newlyweds stayed in his New Berlin home after they escaped in October — and that they later told him about last month’s slaying of Troy LaFerrara, in which they’re both charged.
“They said they were in Sunbury and saw police at the scene — so they watched,” said the anonymous friend.
Miranda said her ex-boyfriend was a quiet and reserved community-college student in North Carolina — until he took two hits of Ecstasy and “lost his mind” in March.
Another friend claimed that Elytte “kept repeating himself for hours” and began drinking and smoking more weed “than usual” after the designer-drug overdose.
It has also emerged that Miranda hated fat people “with a fiery passion” – so it comes as no surprise that their victim tipped the scales at a whopping 125 kilos.
LaFerrara, 42, was found dumped behind a garage in Sunbury with about 20 stab wounds to his body on 20 November.
According to authorities, the married electrical engineer had made arrangements to meet Miranda after answering her Craig’s List ad offering female ‘companionship’ for sale.
