You’ll never guess what humans and crickets have in common – and it’s either amazing or completely terrifying. Composer Jim Wilson recorded crickets, slowed down the track and produced what sounds like human voices singing.
The recording contains two tracks played at the same time. The first is crickets at normal speed, the second is crickets slowed down to produce an angelic-voiced choir in perfect harmony. Take a listen.
According to Jim Wilson: “I discovered that when I slowed down this recording to various levels, this simple familiar sound began to morph into something very mystic and complex……..almost human.”
If you’re a skeptic, feel free to indulge in some skepticism.
