This six minute animated film was created by six students from The Animation School in Cape Town. Within 24 hours of it appearing on Vimeo, it had garnered 90,000 views. That’s a big deal.
The film tells the story of Bobo, a lonely monster who looks set to spend yet another birthday alone. That is until a hunter throws him a killer party.
The project took a total of eight months to complete – and it shows. The level of detail in the animation is absolutely ludicrous, putting this student production on par with some of Pixar’s greats.
Congratulations to that team of local animators: Sarah Scrimgeour, Aarin Lehkuhl, Romy Latter, Miro Kolenic, Jarrod Hasenjager and Matthew Furnell!
