Francesco Raccosta, a high-ranking mafia boss, disappeared from his home in March 2012. It is now believed that he was kidnapped by rival mobsters, beaten and subsequently fed to pigs – while he was still alive.
“You gotta starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped up body would look like curry to a pissant,” claims big-time British mobster, Brick Top, in the movie ‘Snatch’. “You gotta shave the head of your victim and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggy’s digestion.”
Somehow, we feel that the murder of Raccosta wasn’t in keeping with the pig-feeding ideals as laid out by Brick Top. Raccosta apparently kicked and screamed while the pigs gnawed away at his battered and bruised body.
Officers claim 24-year-old Simone Pepe, a known mobster, was wire-tapped boasting about Raccosta’s murder. Local newspapers report Pepe saying that:
It was satisfying to hear his screams. Mamma mia how he screamed!…In the end I didn’t see anything…nothing remained!
The murder was thought to be in revenge for Raccosta killing another mafia boss, in a feud which dates back all the way to the 1950s.
