BEWARE: This post contains graphic footage of an endangered species literally exploding from the inside out. We didn’t tell you to click on it – you clicked on it using your own volition – we merely gave you the option.
When whales as big as this one die at sea and land up on the shore, it’s a bit of a mission to have it removed and properly taken care of. Because they’re so massive, they need to chopped up before they can be transported.
And when they’re being chopped up, they sometimes explode.
This is a well-documented phenomenon – there’s no dynamite hidden beneath the mammal’s sphincter. After they die, their decomposing organs release gas. When the gas builds up, and is then suddenly released by an unsuspecting human – this is what happens.
Please enjoy.
(Wait, no, don’t. Don’t enjoy.)
