Of course David Copperfield would use his vast amounts of money to create a “magical island”. This is the guy who made the Statue of Liberty disappear and managed to escape from Alcatraz – which apparently makes you very rich in today’s world.
In 2006 the magician dropped R500 million for the 100-acre island of Musha Cay. He then invested a further R400 million over five years for remodeling – which has resulted in what Copperfield is calling “the most magical vacation destination in the world”.
It had better be pretty damn magical if it’s going to convince anyone to part with R375,000 per night.
Apparently the island is equipped with a fountain of youth, a secret underground city, and a treasure hunt with real pirate booty.
